    Benefiting Colon Cancer Awareness

The Rumpshaker 5k was organized by family and friends in the memory of Lisa Martz.  On June 22, 2004, Lisa was diagnosed withstage 4 colon cancer at the age of 48.   During her near 4 year fight against colon cancer she showed strength and courage.   Although Lisa fought with determination andfaith her body succumbed to the disease on October 5, 2007.

Funds raised will go to the GI Lab at Princeton Hospital in Birmingham, AL where colonoscopies and other colon screenings are performed.  Additionally, funds will go to educate and raise awareness of colon cancer throughout the community.  If you would like to make a donation to our cause click the button below.

Entry Fees and Deadlines:

5K Individual:

• $25 -- Registration received by March 12, 2010
• $30 -- March 13 -- March 27, 2010
• Register Online -- no additional fees.

• Each Team Member must Register for the Race.
• $20/Runner -- Until March 12, 2010 -- Team of 5 or more.
• Teams can Register Online (no additional fees).
• Team Captain must register first and establish the “Team Name”.
• All Team registrations must be turned in by March 12th.
• No Team Changes after March 12th.
• Entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
• If you sign up as an Individual then switch to a team, there is NO refund for Team Registration discount.

Please note if by March 13th there are not 5 or more team members, each team member will be required to pay the additional $5 for an Individual registration when they pick up their packet.

Sebastian Lemos, LIVED every day of his short seven years of life. Whether it was dribbling a ball down the soccer field or enduring painful medical procedures, Sebastian faced each challenge with bravery and determination. Though Sebastian lost his fight against cancer, his journey gave inspiration to everyone who knew him. Your participation in 2nd Annual Sebastian’s RunWalk for a Cure will not only honor Sebastian, but the funds raised will go directly to Children’s Hospital to help other children who are facing pediatric brain tumors.

Each registered participant will receive a the 2nd Annual Sebastian’s RunWalk for a Cure t-shirt. Each child participating in the one-mile Kids Fun Run, ages 5 – 12, will also receive a kids medal. The day will include clowns from Children’s Hospital, animals from Hand-In-Paw and lots of fun activities.
